A pair of guard plates is fitted as standard on both sides of the moving gantry of the hydraulic straightening press.

Their task is to protect the gap between the moving upright and the press table.

Without this barrier, metal debris could:

  • Get stuck in the slide guides.
  • Damage seals or lubrication systems.
  • Causing sudden machine stops due to the need to remove blockages in hard-to-reach areas.

The protective plate consists of an angled metal structure firmly fixed to the movable upright.

Its edge is covered with a resistant polymer gasket that prevents any scratches to the material being processed and at the same time prevents injury to the operator.
