Recently, we organized a special visit to a local workshop to demonstrate one of our most impressive and high-performance creations to a potential client: the 400-ton tube straightening press, model PRT 400.

Produced 18 years ago, this impressive hydraulic press continues to perform its work with the same precision and reliability as on day one. The visit was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate firsthand the solid construction and engineering efficiency that have always distinguished the Sicmi brand.

Precision engineering for large dimensions

The PRT 400 press is designed for processing and straightening large steel tubes and rods. With a total length of 11 meters, the machine is equipped with an advanced 4-carriage motor system:

• Two external trolleys: specially designed for lifting, moving and rotating the pipe 360°, making it easier to locate and correct deformation points.

• Two central trolleys: designed to firmly support and stabilize the workpiece during the high pressure pressing and straightening phases.

Seeing a hydraulic machine operating at full capacity after nearly two decades is the most concrete testimony to the value of our Made in Italy products. The meeting sparked great enthusiasm among the Austrian delegation, who were impressed by the fluidity of the movements, the ease of handling the trolleys, and the 400-ton thrust power.
